We walked over the the food Court at The Gateway for cake and presents.
This year, Avery requested a Jupiter birthday cake. She was surprised Harmon's was out of Jupiter cakes, so we took matters into our own hands.
First she drew me a sample of what Jupiter looks like.
Then she decided my attempt at Jupiter was not scientifically accurate.
So she decorated the 2nd cake by herself and was delighted with the results.
We finished the weekend as a family with a special birthday dinner chosen by Avery (meatballs, rice, carrots). We enjoyed the 2nd of the two cakes, opened a few space-themed presents, went around the table telling what we each love about Avery, and recited our favorite poem about being six.
The End
By A.A. Milne
By A.A. Milne
When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three,
I was hardly me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now,
Forever and ever.
