Got Warm Ears?

Here in Utah, all the girls seem to be wearing these cute knitted headbands that keep your ears warm. What better excuse to have a little knitting lesson? We went to the yarn shop and selected a yarn I've been wanting to work with from Spud & Chloe. It is a fabulous wool blend that is velvety soft and even washable. Katie loved the color and feel. I love the feel of the yarn and needles in my hands when I knit, so I was thrilled to transfer the experience to her hands.

Katie took a quick liking to knitting as she worked away on her trendy headpiece. She worked very diligently and even figured out the purls as well as the knits.

Ta-da! The finished product! Not bad for a first knitting project.
